So, here i am. After 2 weeks of postponing to write this blog, i am finally here to stay (well, at least for the next few months).

Where to start? After a quick visit of 10 days to my hometown i took off for this new adventure in the southern part of Europe: Yes indeed i am in Spain!
I arrived on sunday evening and after the taxi dropped me i unpacked my 12 pairs of shoes and my 2 t-shirts and prepared for school the day after. The apartment where i live is pretty well located and is also quite big, the price is okay and the landlady's very kind. We got a supermarket right around the corner, and the central train station is five minutes by feet. Castellón is a cool place, it has the old city centre but also a very modern suburb and the campus is incredibly futuristic.
Obviously, as dutchies, Ellen and i are going to school by bike, you are able to get a 'one year allowance' to use the bikes of the city (Bicicas) for 40 euros, i mean: owning a bike is almost more expensive in maintenance. The only disadvantage is that the bike seats are so extremely hard that after riding the bike you have to do a couple of squats to get your shape back. OK, enough about the bikes. School is why we are here for, so just start with the first day. Since most of the spanish teachers are heroes in communicating we came too late for our classes on monday, so after 15 minutes of attending some kind of presentation we went back home.
Week one wasn't so special, although i have to say that the courses we follow in spanish are somehow... inspiring.
Besides the fact that the teachers speaks very fast, i think i lost all my knowledge of the spanish language. I am literally staring at the teacher trying to catch some words, but that was also disturbing since Ellen commented that the guy looks like Gru from 'Despicable me'. I never saw the movie but after seeing a photo i have to admit that she is completely right. But you tell me, how can i focus on someone who looks like an animation character?
He must have felt it, because the week after we got a new teacher.

So far so good, you can say. I spent a day in Peniscola, a city on the coast with a castle. Fun fact is that the castle was actually used two days ago by the 'Game of Thrones' cast to record i don't know what episode. Also, I FOUND A SHOPPING CENTRE. Actually the way to the shopping centre is the only way where i don't get lost. They have everything there, it is a thee floor, massive complex and includes tons of places to eat, and obviously to shop:)
Oh, i almost forgot! There is also a shopping centre right in front of our building. It has 7 floors and is comparable to 'Bijenkorf' or 'LaFayette' or 'Colette' or anything like heaven.

Okay this was it for now, i go and study. I'll keep you all posted.
